I don’t know about you but I’m ready for the NBA Finals. I’m tired of getting my hopes up for Cleveland to get challenged and then winning by 20 every night. Just bring on GSW and let’s get this rematch underway. Speaking of getting things underway, let’s get to some of my favorites posted on the site from this week.
New Jersey’s Pure not only has a trance inducing song but his video for it is something else. He’s not going to snitch and there’s good reason not to after watching the video.
This trio of New York artists take a track from Dave East and do it justice. Breeze slaughters it, giving us a feeling of old Jay and Clipse records as he talks about dealing and feeling remorse.
Noochie is definitely putting on for his city with “Gutta”. The trap influenced track has him proudly repping the DMV and trying to make it so he can pull his loved ones with him.
Bahamian Judah Tha Lion hooks us up with a spectacular video for the last single he released. The visual effects are great and the song is left field from what we’re used to getting in hip-hop over here.
Broward County’s Mark Edmond gives us a song about missing those who have passed, remixing Coolio’s original track. I had never heard anyone attempt this one before so it was nice to see him tack a verse to this.
