Cillian Murphy wanted to star in this Christopher Nolan movie

Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy would have liked to star in another Christopher Nolan project that he didn’t take part in.

Cillian Murphy is one of the most popular actors in Hollywood today. With the release of Christopher Nolan’s new film, Oppenheimer, he has once again placed himself at the center of the world. Released less than a month ago, the film has already crossed the $600 million mark and is expected to reach $1 billion soon.

As part of the presentation of the film, the actor spoke on a number of topics. In The Independent, he was asked which Nolan film he would have liked to face Oppenheimer in the double release (this is due to the Barbenheimer event, with this film and Barbie releasing, simultaneously). His answer boils down to two clear choices in the director’s filmography.

“You could go see Interstellar, which is very… explores similar science and physics themes. Or you could go see Dunkirk, which is also set during World War II. Dunkirk is shorter, so it could be a good combination because it’s about an hour and a half, and then you can go see…“. did he declare.

But, at the forefront of his statements, there is his wish to have participated in Interstellar, one of Nolan’s best-known films. “I find it so moving. I remember seeing it in the cinema when I was very young. He had such an impact on me. It broke my heart,” he said.

Interstellar was released in 2014 and starred Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, David Gyasi, Jessica Chastein, Mackencie Foy and Matt Damon, among others. The official synopsis for the film reads: “Seeing that life on Earth is coming to an end, a group of explorers led by pilot Cooper (McConaughey) and scientist Amelia (Hathaway) embark on what could be the mission most important in human history: to travel beyond our galaxy to discover a planet within another that can guarantee the future of the human race.
