WhatsApp, one of the most used messaging applications in the world, has just activated a feature that you should know about. In fact, you now have the possibility of blocking certain chats by facial unlocking or fingerprint and only the owner of the mobile phone will be able to access the discussion.
Here’s how to activate it:
Find the chat you want to hide
In the Messages tab, you’ll see all the chats you’ve had since you downloaded the app. So you need to search for the message you want to block. If you are on iPhone, you must slide the tab to the left to access the three dots that will allow you to enter the chat settings.
Access chat settings
Once you’re in the settings for the chat you want to hide, quick access tabs will appear so you can skip further steps. In this case, you must enter the “Contact Information” section.
Block chats
Once you have accessed the “Contact Information” tab, you have a number of functions allowing you to modify the chat. If you want to be “more secure”, you must go to the “Block chats” section so that people who check your phone do not have access to it.
How to block your chats
Once logged in, you will only see an information section where you will be notified that blocked chats will be separated from others. WhatsApp will use the security method you have enabled to allow you to block your chats.
It should be noted that WhatsApp has not made this tool available for “infidelity”. This feature will help you protect your cats in the event of theft or unauthorized access to your phone.
